NFL Players getting Rawkus...as usual

NFL Cornerback Eric Green is being taken to court by transgendered individual Angelina Mavilla after allegedly sodomizing him/her at his condo in Florida.

A transgender New Yorker has filed a $10 million sex assault suit against an NFL player - and in a separate action is also suing the city, saying she was abused and humiliated by cops.

MAD Racist?

I honestly don't know...the intentions are pretty clear, and I can't say that I didn't find some of this funny...but where do we draw the line? Do we draw the line? Do we commend them...if we ever needed comments...I think it's now. Anyways, let me know.

Here's an excerpt from the post

I have had the pleasure of meeting some great niggas in my time. Some of the brightest and the best! The all-stars of Niggadom! And please Reader, don’t assume by my use of the word nigga that I’m referring to black males, because that would be an erroneous deed on your part, nigga. Why, some of the bestest niggas I’ve met have been whiter than a dentist’s teeth. Being a good nigga is a lot like Jazz music. It’s something that us black people created and fine-tuned, but a thing white people can easily excel at with a little bit of effort and some marijuana.

One way of being a good nigga is to streamline the world into basic values. Think of the Terminator when he enters that bar at the beginning of T2: Judgment Day. As soon as he walks in he’s sizing up the bar’s patrons to see if they’re the same size as him. “Match” or “No Match”? George W. Bush is fairly similar to the Terminator, but instead of ‘Match” or “No Match”. George W. divides the world into “Terrorists” or “Allies”, and for this ardent simplicity of thought in regard to complex issues of policy, religion, and history, George W. Bush has won the Nigga of the Year award for 8 years straight, sorta like the Meryl Streep of Niggadom.

Rosetta 2k10

This device looks a little great...just a little bit.

Steve Jobs, Apple's chief executive unveiled the touchscreen device at an event in San Francisco.

Mr Jobs described the tablet, which will cost between $499 and $829 in the US, as a "third category" between smartphones and laptops.

The device, which looks like a large iPhone, can be used to watch films, play games and browse the web.

The firm has also done a deal with publishers including Penguin, Macmillian and Harper Collins to allow e-books to be downloaded directly to the device through a new iBook Store.

ReggaeTON

I'm thinking that is what should be his name as an emcee...This is why people decide that they truly hate whole genres of music. My real question is why he is in this video and not on a treadmill with a daily dose of Subway sandwiches to keep his ass alive for the next week. Can you say Cuban Link, Daddy Yankee, with a dose of Fat Bastard?

Weavy Wonder

I found this hilarious, funny, and at times true article on a friend's tweet. I decided to check it out...aaand...This man has a point, but he also might have over done it a tad bit...just a tad. This is being posted more to provide a different perspective than anything else.

When I spoon, I don’t want to be face first in the discarded hair cells of some other person several thousands miles away. When I am giving you the bidness, to the 16th degree, and I reach to pull your face back, I don’t want to come back with a hand full of hair in my hand. When I am granted entry to the dirty dug out for the first time, I don’t want you to pull back your lace-front and expose to me eddie munster.

It’s just not fair …

Once you pop...

Well no...not actually, but you can't say he doesn't look like it with that stache. I actually think that if the Pringles man got dipped in Hip-Hop, this is what he would look like. Regardless...he and Ye decided to go to Paris for its fashion week. Shout out to Nahright for the post, and you can go here to find the rest of the pics and the original post

Tomaaaa

Those of you who follow the blog know that in my following J. Cole, I became familiar with Toca Tuesdays. Toca Tuesdays is radio show of world famous DJ Tony Touch. He's worked with just about everyone who's actually got talent in Hip-Hop and continues to do so. The show is every Tuesday from 8pm to 12am on Shade45/XM 66.

This past year has treated the show wonderfully, and in an attempt to get even more followers they decided to put out this mixtape containing all of the freestyles from the artists who came through. I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but it's definitely starting to remind me of Sway and King Tech's legendary radio show out on the left coast.

Anyways...enough talking download it now

Baseline

As you and I both know, we are in the technology age...the age of the soundclip...if I can't get the gist of what an individual is saying within the first 30 seconds, chances are I'm going to the next blog post, channel, or whatever. I have to say that this video with one of my favorite producers immediately caught my attention and kept it. So, here it is...Just Blaze reminiscing about his life and times in Baseline Recording Studios. It's late I know, but it's also worth it if you have yet to see it.

Tiesto and Co.

I'm not particularly familiar with either of these artists, but I found it on a friend's wall and decided to show how sharing I am. I also like it. Sooo...check it out and let me know what you think.

Pumpin' That Bass

Some dude I'm not familiar with, Trae, dropped some joint with the Bawse and Wayne. This one was definitely made for a gas guzzling SUV.

"Stay still n!gga / I cut your face, have you lookin like Seal n!gga" = A-hole comment of the month

Btw I think it's funny that these dudes copped their chains from American Apparel

A Condi though?

Part me hopes this is not serious...the other part does. Regardless, this is pretty funny...especially because I found it accidentally while looking for some Afrobeat.

That's my friend! Naija Girl

Rae's my high school friend...besides being a fun, insightful, and witty Nikki Minaj fan she's also a pretty funny comedian. Check her out at The Faster Times.

The comedy of Rafat ‘Rae’ Sanni is self-conscious and self-effacing. Crude, broad, yet filled with fresh and unexpected social commentary, she is quick to poke fun at those around her, but in no way exempts herself from criticism. “This guy tried to ask me out a few weeks ago,” she begins, “with the line, ‘I think you’re really pretty, I just really love elegant black women like Michelle Obama. And…I went out with him anyways.’”

Unless you've been living under the world's biggest rock you, you would know that Trey Songz' Say Aah has been blowing up the airwaves for some time now. After checking out Crossfaded Bacon I found this interesting remix by Philly's own Benja Styles. It's a nice change of pace, but it also reminds me why this song is great the way it is. Check it out below

No I.D.

Hip Hop DX was able to get some time with critically acclaimed producer, No I.D.. Recently he worked on projects like 808s & Heartbreaks and The Blueprint 3, but he is definitely more well known for his work with Chicago native Common.

Crowned our Producer of the Year for 2009, Chicago-born No I.D. has basically circumnavigated the Hip Hop ocean with his unique musical interpretations and soundscapes. Sixteen years after producing the all time classic "I Used to Love H.E.R." for fellow Chicago brethren Common, Dion Wilson came full circle last year after the trend-killing success of "D.O.A." Demanding critical acclaim on par with the ’94 hit, the most talked about song of the year put the producer extraordinaire in territories new.

Approached by Verve front man Richard Ashcroft, No I.D. found himself recording an abundance of music with the "Bittersweet Symphony" singer, which will be released later this year, projects now being the name of the game for the proclaimed Godfather of Chicago Hip Hop. But projects aren’t the only thing on his mind with a possible four Grammys up for grabs at the end of this month.

I wish I were an Apple

I honestly don't know how I forgot to post this, but the Women of King issue I believe is on shelves now...I don't buy magazines...period. But yes I am getting this one. Below is a link to the nahright post with a video of the actual photo shoot.

Women of KING

Pistol Pete...I mean Hibachi

Today Gilbert plead guilty to possession of firearms outside of a home or business without a license. Technically he could serve up to 5 years in prison...but we all know that's not happening.

The pair had gotten into an argument over a card game on the team plane two days before. Prosecutors said Arenas threatened to burn up Crittenton's car and shoot him in the face. Arenas characterized his threats as a joke in his interviews with authorities. Crittenton then said he should shoot Arenas in his surgically repaired left knee, prosecutors said.

Arenas brought four unloaded guns into Verizon Center in a backpack. He laid the guns out in front of Crittenton's locker with a hand-written note that said "pick one."

Alright folks...I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this probably Gucci Man's best song that he's ever been featured on. This definitely also reminds me of This Can't Be Life by Jay, Beans, and the boy Face Mob. (Damn I wish they made an album)

Riots in Kenya

At least five people have died after Kenyan police opened fire at supporters of a Jamaican-born Muslim cleric notorious for preaching racial hatred.

Police also fired tear gas at hundreds of stone-throwing protesters calling for Abdullah al-Faisal to be freed.

Faisal is in detention in Nairobi after Kenya failed to deport him.

Kenya wants to expel him citing his "terrorist history". He was jailed for four years in the UK for soliciting the murder of Jews and Hindus.

And you thought the US was G'd Up

Apparently China was about to have a groundbreaking Gay Pageant which would've been the first of its kind in the country. The winner would be the official Mr. Gay China. Hit the jump to read the BBC article.

Homosexuality was illegal in China until 1997, and officials described it as a mental illness until 2001.

The event's organiser, Ben Zhang, said he had been hoping the event would mark another step towards greater awareness of gay people in China.

One of the judges, Weng Xiaogang, told the AFP news agency: "In my opinion, I believe it [the cancellation] had something to do with the issue of homosexuality."

Umm...ya think?

McGwire GUILTY

Ok...so lets start off by acknowledging that Barry Bonds is one of the most hated and chastised men in this era of the MLB. That being said, most individuals state that this is due to his supposed steroid use and his record shattering career where be dethroned many athletes...most notably with the amount of Home Runs in a single season and a career. All that being said, it has never been proven that he actually used these substances knowingly.

ANYWAYS

Yesterday Mark McGwire former 1st baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals admitted to using steroids, and many are simply saying that he did the right thing, and Cardinals manager, Tony LaRussa, even considered using him as a pinch hitter to help and try and get him into Cooperstown.

I still don't understand why this isn't front page news...well I think I do...whatever

Here's the Sports Illustrated article

She's a Foxy Lady

Hmm...so Palin just signed with Fox. I guess Univision isn't the only network with hot anchors now.
Former vice presidential candidate, who regularly rips the media, is becoming a television pundit at a place where she's likely to feel at home.
At the moment, Palin makes pronouncements mainly through her Facebook page. The Fox connection would give her a platform on the nation's top-rated cable news channel.

After dropping a pretty solid album, these guys have been dropping heat separately. I know I'm late with a lot of this stuff due to the hiatus, but those of you unfamiliar with Joell Ortiz need to get acquainted with his music. So check out this video below, and download his mixtape Roadkill

She Needs This Mixxx

While on the phone today, a good friend of mine was in a "Dream Mood" and had She Needs My Love on repeat. As she stated, it is unfortunate that the track failed to catch on like so many other singles of his, but it reminded of this fairly old mix by the dude Four Color Zack that I bumped incessantly for the summer of '09. Sooo here it is 50:39 of The R&B Gorillaaa...
