Monstro
Honestly, I didn't think that anyone including Kanye would even be able to touch the Power Remix...but they did and while I don't think they surpassed it personally I could see an intelligent person arguing that it did.

This album could potentially be his best one yet...not that this means anything because that's how it usually is.

Ebonics
"I can't say it's spoken all the time, like Spanish and Vietnamese," Sanders said. "But there are people trying to use this to evade detection" while trafficking in drugs, he said.
Asked whether agency currently has agents who can translate Ebonics, Sanders said some who have worked on local police forces can help pick out words on wiretaps.
The term "Ebonics" -- a blend of "ebony" and "phonics" -- became known in 1996, when the Oakland, California, Unified School District proposed using it in teaching English. After the school board came under fire, it voted to alter the plan, which recognized Ebonics as a distinct language.

I.M.F. (International Money isn't Free)
Those of you who read the last related article know that Pakistan got hit horribly by a monsoon of epic proportions. Clearly they'll need help, we just hope it comes quick enough. Below is an excerpt from a BBC article concerning how the IMF is in talks of lending the country 11 billion dollars. Now...that is a lot of money, but there are two things that concern me.
1. Why would you ever tell someone that they have to pay you back after such an atrocity.
2. If lending someone 11 billion dollars is actually feasible, why do you even need every single penny back?
Officials from Pakistan are holding talks with the International Monetary Fund to discuss its $11bn loan package in the wake of the devastating floods.
They said that although the UN had raised 70% of the $460m (£295m) needed for emergency relief, many people had yet to receive any help. Mr Ahmed said Pakistan's budget and macroeconomic prospects would have to be reviewed following the floods, which UN officials estimate have left about 1,600 people dead and affected another 16.8 million.

Dirty Little Ghetto Boys
Gasoline Dream favorite and Hip-Hop legend, Scarface of the Geto Boys, sits down with Vibe Magazine to go over the legacy of his group and his solo catalogue. GREAT stuff that shouldn't be overlooked if you consider yourself a Hip-Hop head.
“I think with anything that you do in life it has to run its course,” Face tells VIBE of his split from his longtime label home and J. Prince. “And I think that my business relationship with Rap-A-Lot has ran its course. I’m not just a rapper anymore. You can’t make me an artist, anymore. It’s time for me to have my own shit. There’s a lot of money in successful independent records. I was totally unaware of that throughout my career by the label. If you put a few million records out and you are making eight bucks a pop, everything is supposed to be everything. I’m supposed to be a part of that money, right? I think with the amount of money independent artists make I wish I would have made the move a little sooner.”

Say It Ain't So
Yea...so it turns out that 1 glass of Vitaminwater a day will not keep the doctor away. Apparently a lot of people believed the contrary and that is exactly why Coke is being sued.
In a staggering feat of twisted logic, lawyers for Coca-Cola are defending the lawsuit by asserting that "no consumer could reasonably be misled into thinking vitaminwater was a healthy beverage."
Does this mean that you'd have to be an unreasonable person to think that a product named "vitaminwater,""I took quarter, sold it in bottles for 2 bucks / And Coca-Cola came it bought for billions what the f$@!" -50 Cent-

K.R.I.T.
Big K.R.I.T...hmm where do I start...one of my boys over at Brooklyn Bodega put me on to his recent mixtape, K.R.I.T. Wuz Here, and the first thing I asked him was if he was better than Freddie Gibbs. After going through tons of music recently, I've definitely been trying to filter through it whichever way possible. To make a long story short, I gave him a listen and this dude's mixtape is jaw dropping. He could easily be viewed by many credible and knowledgeable blogs/organizations as making the mixtape of the year.
Very few artists in general have as much range as this dude when it comes to production AND rhymes. He's got those "ignorant" dirty beats that KNOCK ("Country $h!t" & "Just Touched Down") in addition to ones with crazy soulful/jazzy samples ("Something" & "Neva Go Back"). When one's got the lyrical ability and content of someone like K.R.I.T. alongside production this tight, he/she is bound to leave a sudden impact. This project has many songs that remind me of Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, UGK, and Scarface's The Fix. That being said, I don't know what else to say except that you need this mixtape in your life so you can find out who this man is.

Biblical like Events
This largest monsoon in living memory recently tore through Pakistan affecting over one million and killing 800+. I don't know what's going on, but there are more and more natural disasters plaguing communities far and wide. Check out the BBC article here
